My name’s Emir Maroof —
an architectural photographer based in Houston, Texas, with a background in both architecture and landscape design. I studied Architecture for my bachelor’s and later earned my Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the University of New Mexico, which shaped the way I see form, texture, and space.

Before turning my focus to photography, I worked as a landscape designer across San Diego, Albuquerque, and Houston. That hands-on experience in design and construction continues to influence how I approach photography — not just as image-making, but as a way of communicating the intent, texture, and atmosphere of space.

My work blends architectural awareness with a sensitivity to light, context, and composition. Whether capturing public spaces, private residences, or commercial environments, I aim to frame architecture in a way that reflects its relationship to people, nature, and place.
I’m currently available for architectural and landscape photography commissions across Texas primarily In Houston, Austin and San Antonio.
